Maybe some games will get your mind off of things or at least burn some time till you understand what your going to do. Opening up your phone you take notice of two new e-mails that you received. Launching the E-mail program you take notice that one of the E-mail was sent around midnight and the other was sent just a few hours ago.
The first one is titled; Hey there stud! Of course you know its spam but you can never help but open every piece of mail you get, really other than work its the only communication you receive with others. It takes you a few seconds to skim through the text till you stop about halfway through to read it again carefully.
"Hey there big man. Are you looking for a good time? Looking for a new home? To relax and let your life go back to its normal state? Then give us her; the address and time is below. You have till then to deliver her or we will take further action. Do not call the cops or others."
The E-mail ends there leaving you stunned till a long bang from the jump causes you to jump. Nya laughs thinking you were watching the show as well and goes back to viewing the screen.
"What the hell is going on?" You began to think that you weren't being paranoid, that someone was- is after you.
Panic sets in but you do your best to keep calm and not let Nya know what's going on, you haven't known her long but she easily picks up on your emotions even if they are small signs.
Opening the second E-mail thinking it was from the same one as before but scan it over but carefully this time.
"Dear Mr._______ It has come to our attention of a recent fire at your residence at 12:23 on October,24, 2020. We wish to send our deepest condolences at your loss and offer any aid that we can. According to our systems your insurance fully covers the damages that your belongings underwent however until the official investigation is completed only 10% of the total funds can be transferred. Upon completion of said investigation full funds will be transferred. If you wish to collect your funds please visit our local branch and complete the documents that are provided. Thank you for being our customer and we hope to have you be our customer again in the future. -Silicon Services Insurance"
"Silver lining." You sigh heavily unsure of what to do next.
You could give them Nya...after all it seemed as though they REALLY wanted her... were they trying to kill you- both of you, or was burning your apartment down a warning of what they could do. Then you could always skip town, take whatever cash you can from your insurance and skip town. How far will you go to protect Nya?
