Offer to go on a date with him instead.

From Create Your Own Story

"Well, um...how about we go on, like a date instead?" Not wanting to become the fulfillment of another man's sexual fantasy, you attempted to negotiate. "You know, like dinner, and then a movie or something?"

"So, you mean to say: As a payment for me saving you from Clark, you want me to take you on a date, and then pay for your dinner and movie?" Corbin took another whiff of his cigarette and tilted his head back thoughtfully. "That doesn't sound like a very favorable proposal for me."

"Well...that's not exactly what..."

"So then you plan to pay for everything?" He looks at you with a steady amusement in his eyes.

"Umm..." You shuffled your feet nervously.

"Look, I tell you what." He flicks the cigarette on the ground and presses down on it with his black leather shoe. "We'll try this little date idea of yours. I may be a womanizer, but I'm not a sexual predator like some of my colleagues. I'm not interested in having sex with a woman who's not willing to give it."

A slight smile of relief flashed across your face. You feel like you're starting to understand the man you're dealing with here. And who knows, you might start to like him a little later on, even if he's slept with numerous other women. He caught a glimpse of your smile and scoffed lightly.

"Don't get me wrong. I'm not some kind of knight in shining armor." He straightened his coat and stooped to pick up his leather case. "I sleep around with a lot of women who want me for my looks and money. You're the first woman I've met who's turned me down, so I find you intriguing."

"Well, I appreciate that." Feeling refreshed by his brutally honest assessment of himself, you folded your arms behind your back and retorted playfully. "I'm starting to find you intriguing too, even if I still won't end up in bed with you."

"Alright then." For the first time in your conversation, Corbin's voice sounds lighter and his eyes seem less piercing. He walks over to his car and opens the front passenger door. "Why don't I give you a lift home, and then we can set a time and place for our little appointment."

"I thought you had to meet a client." You recalled overhearing his previous conversation with the guards as you climbed into the passenger seat.

"That was a lie." He responded in his usual nonchalance as he climbed into the driver's seat and ignited the engine. "I wanted to get rid of those guys as quickly as possible so you don't give yourself away."

"Well, that's thoughtful of you." You nodded as he pulled the car out of the dark garage into daylight. You notice for the first time how fancy his car is. He must be loaded. You start to feel kinda foolish for offering him money.

"That's the place. Thanks again for the ride." You pointed to an apartment building as he pulled up to the curb. "So...this weekend?"

"That's fine." He thought for a brief moment and shrugged. "What's the plan?"
