The man takes your answer, smiles, and walks away. You continue on towards the Castle, swinging a right at the Partners statue, heading into Tomorrowland. By the Starlight Cafe, you hear a cry from behind a fence reading "Cast Members Only". No one seems to notice as a second, muffled cry comes from behind the fence. You decide you can't just sit there, so you creep over to the fence and peek in through a crack. You see a man, grabbing a girl by the wrist. Upon further inspection, you see that the man is dressed as Jafar, and the girl is a woman playing who you think to be Aurora. You watch as the girl struggles, but the man holds on, grinning evilly. You vault over the fence, possible because of your finesse. Jafar, startled, flinches. You tackle him, freeing the girl from his grasp. The man dressed as Jafar gets up, and smoke billows around him. You hear him say something, but by the time the smoke leaves, Jafar is gone, and you are on the ground, losing consciousness as the girl who looks like Aurora leans over you...
You open your eyes to see a fabric above you. You find yourself on a plush bed, with a banister and drapes. Very princess-y, you think. You sit up, and see the girl from the alley, still as Aurora, sitting in a plush chair. The room itself has a royal feeling, the design, furniture, everything about it. However, the most royal thing is the girl dressed like Aurora. She is beautiful, almost seeming to glow. Her large chest adds to her beauty. "Hello, Hero." You sit in wonder. She was calling you a Hero?
"Uh...me?"
She giggles, a sound you love. "Why yes, silly, you saved me. Only the chosen few may touch a character."
"A...character."
"Oh, I see you are not one of the Known. No, matter, we can fix that." She waves her hand, and you feel a tingling sensation. "I've Marked you."
"Huh?"
She sighs. "The characters that you call fake, the ones you believe to only exist in movies? Well, we're real. I am the real princess Aurora."
You begin to argue, but something in your heart tells you it's true. "So, the people in the park who sign autographs..."
"No, that is not us, although sometimes we do take their place for fun. Disney knows that we are real, but do not bother us. They let us remain free, as long as we do not interfere with the parks. The cast members in the park are humans, and cannot see characters unless we wish them to, or if they are Marked. Marked people can see and interact with the characters at all times. The characters will sense you are Marked, and you shall be able to tell when a character is real or not. Some characters will be your friend, such as I. Some will dislike you. Sometimes you may find a conflict between two characters, such as I and that beast, Jafar. As you did, you may intervene. I am afraid we may need you to do just that..."
