LoL/(M)(GAF) Toss a rock into the water

There's a broken chunk of rock lying at the water's edge, probably from a stalactite that fell, and you pick it up and throw it out into the lake. It makes a hollow bloop sound as it disappears beneath the water, sending ripples dancing over the dark surface. You watch the ripples fade away, the cavern silent save for the faint lapping of the water against the stone at your feet.
Suddenly, something breaks the surface of the water and you duck as the rock is thrown back at you. The rock clatters off the cavern walls and you quickly glance up to see if the noise has shaken any more of the stalactites down, but they appear to be holding fast. You turn your attention back to the lake, where a dozen long, writhing tentacles have emerged from the water, the skin a pale green with dark green and bright rust-colored splotches on it. At the base of the tentacles is a long, shapeless body, like a squid or octopus. You can see one large, golden eye watching you, giving the impression of a very clever, if not a little malicious, creature. That certainly fits with it throwing that rock at you.
- You say, "Hey, Squidface - I'm here for the treasure!"
- You say, "Excuse me, but I'd like to have your treasure."
- You say, "Nevermind" and run for the stairs.
