Kick down the door to the left

With your big black leather boot, you kick down the door to the left, sending it flying and splintering.
Just in time. A small, thin young man is standing on the bed, trying to fend several zombies off with a broken chair leg. You shoot the first zombie with your crossbow, then draw your pistol and take out the others with rapid but well-aimed shots. When the creatures are all dead, you say, "Are you all right?"
He is shaking with fear, unable to speak. A scream comes from down the hall.
