You and your spotter scan slowly over the desert by the ambush area, where your allies and the Soviets were locked in a brutal firefight. There is a loud, distant gunshot, and one of the mujaheddin takes a bullet to the head and falls backwards, limp. "Shit, where the hell did that come from?" Amir shouts, looking at the body. He thinks for a second, before speaking back up.
"Looks like the shot came from the mountains over there!" He gestures at the mountains about a mile in front of you. You can't see where a sniper could possible hide there. You consider the possibility that Amir is wrong.
