The rest of day flies by. You get the results of your last maths quiz, another A, but apart from that it was almost entirely uneventful. After school you complete your homework and get ready to go to the cinema.
After dinner James arrives to take you to the movie in his car. It's a Toyota Corolla that wouldn't set any hearts racing, but it is in good condition and looks dependable.
At the cinema you share a popcorn and watch the film. It Awakens is a pretty generic horror film, but its cliche scares still manage to frighten you enough to make you cuddle up to James.
This is your first ever proper date, and you welcome the feeling of intimacy.
After the film is over, James takes you to a local burger place before dropping you home. As he walks you to the door he says "Hey, I've been invited to a party at Erricks place on Friday. I was wondering if you wanted to come with me?".
"A party?" you ask, you've never been to a proper high school party before, but you remember James is well liked and probably gets invited to lots of these.
However before you say yes, you remember that you have some study you intend to do that weekend.
"Sorry I need to do some study"
