Hang out and try to flirt with the bouncer

It takes a while for there to be even the briefest break in the bouncer's routine. He's taking fives from guys as they enter - many of whom cast an appreciative glance at his thick chest and muscular arms. He stamps hands, and every now and then glances in your direction.
Finally, when there's a break, you step up and say, "It's my first time here. Anything I should be on the lookout for? Or can I just stay here and have you protect me?" You give him your best smile.
He grins back. "I'm here all night, and it's pretty boring here. You should definitely have a good time - you're cute enough."
You blush.
"Upstairs is where the action is, if you're feeling into that," the bouncer says. "But if I were you, I'd hit the bar before it gets really crowded. You'll have a shot at getting a beer that way." He smiles. "There's plenty of fun to be had once it gets dark."
There's that phrase again. You're about to ask, but another rush of people arrive, and he gives you a nod that seems like a dismissal.
Still, he did say he'd be here all night. And that you were cute.
