HPHS Zombie Game/Go into Nathan's house

"I'll go in alone if it makes you happy," says Nathan, and disappears into his house before we can argue. We form a semicircle around his front steps while he's inside. I'm thinking as I wait, my bat at the ready in case of possible zombie attack. Technically, I should be completely aware, but I have a feeling we're not going to get surprised.
I know Nathan's family is dead as I was traveling with him before I met up with the rest of the group, and he'd told me that he'd been back to his house already and hadn't found any food. I wonder what he's getting this time.
Nathan emerges from the house, empty handed. "Couldn't find anything," he announces to the disappointed group.
As we keep moving, he confides in me, "I knew I wouldn't find anything, but honestly I just wanted to look at it again. Do you really think there's much chance of us coming back here? After all, we're already headed towards New Brunswick. Can you really blame me?"
I didn't know what to think. Maybe Zoe did have a point. Maybe not. Whatever.
