HPHS Zombie Game/Don't drop Jimmy
From Create Your Own Story
I can't let Jimmy fall, you think, I've got to do this! But it looks like you won't be able to, the zombies are already snapping at Jimmy's feet when you're still a full eight feet away from the door and you're not getting any faster.
It's then that the door slams open and two figures emerge, snatching you and Jimmy and pulling you inside as fast as you can. The door clicks shut behind you and a wall of undead flesh slams against it.
Inside, I look around, blinking at the sudden flash of light. There are a dozen lamps, powered by generators, all sitting on a table among a pile of food and long blunt objects. On closer inspection, they're the same desk legs that Ruck was waving.
That's when I notice the occupants of the room besides my friends who are ranged against the far wall.
There's Mr. Ruck, rubbing his hands together and looking happy.
Mr. Roche is smoking, something I've never actually seen him do, and looking worried.
Ms. Wilson is shaking up her water bottle to dissolve her instant iced tea mix. She's grinning like an idiot. No surprises there.
Mr. Lassiter is polishing, of all things, an enormous, sleek shotgun. Who knows what he's thinking.
Lassiter does the talking. They are the only teachers left alive, to their knowledge, and until just now they had thought they were the only people left alive in the school. "If Williams had just ordered the kids out of here when I told him to, this wouldn't be a problem," he growled.
Ruck chimed in. "We're real proud of you kids. Real fucking proud. Plus I get to say the fuck word and I don't get fired." He winked at Lassiter, who grinned back.
Roche smiled tightly at us. "We were just discussing how we're going to get out of here. We have some food, but not too much and we really can't afford more than a few more days in here."
Wilson finished. "We have two plans. The first, my idea, is to go out the window. It'll be dangerous, because we're on the second floor, but we should be fine. The other, Brett's idea, is to fight our way out the main way. There's some zombies on the door, but if somebody can volunteer to go through the window alone and cause a diversion, we should be fine."
Lassiter turns to us. "What do you kids think?"
