You take the costume into the dressing room. The package contains a blond Freddie Wig, an aqua long-sleeve dress shirt, a V-neck long-sleeve sweater, a poplin neckerchief, flat-front slacks, and slip-on loafers. After trying it all on and admiring yourself in the mirror, you feel that you make a pretty good Fred Jones.
You step out of the dressing room, intent on finding a Velma or a Daphne to flirt with. Instead of the door leading back into the costume shop, you find yourself standing in a dimly lit library. Daphne Blake, looking pretty as always in purple, turns away from the dusty bookcase that she’s been perusing.
“I don’t think we’re going to find any clues in here,” Daphne says. “We’ve moved every book on these shelves and none of them open a secret passage! We should split up. One of us should go help Shaggy and Scooby search the kitchen while the other two go search the bedroom.”
“What do you think, Fred?” Velma asks. “Who should go where?”
