Feel hungry and go get something to eat

"I am kind of hungry," you say.
"Okay. Just follow me." Jack leads you back into the castle, through a few passageways, and into the kitchen. "You'll find everything you need in the refrigerator. I have some other business to take care of. I'll be back in about thirty minutes."
You open the refrigerator, take out various ingredients, and make yourself a sandwich. You go to the nearby dining room and sit down at one end of a long oak table, enjoying your food.
Just as you finish eating, you hear a strange noise coming from the next room beyond the kitchen. Should you investigate? Or should you just wait for Jack and go meet the others in the castle?
