Dorothy's feet

You slip the slippers onto Dorothy's feet. They shimmer and sparkle. Dorothy stands up.
"No!" the witch shouts. "Take them off! Give them to me!"
"I don't think so," Dorothy says. "Go away, you mean old witch!"
The witch cringes, then vanishes in a puff of black smoke.
"This is so strange," Dorothy says, looking down at her slippered feet. "Did she go away just because I was wearing these shoes and I said she should go?"
