Decide to take a nap
From Create Your Own Story
You don’t worry about those clouds in the distance because it’s just another thunderstorm.
You don’t even think about tornadoes because tornadoes are more of an Oklahoman thing anyway. Covering yourself in your Dale Earnhardt blanket, you quickly doze off on the sofa with the comforting sound of the wind rushing through the porch.
You begin to dream that you’re standing on train tracks. A train rushes towards you. You try to run away, but your legs feel like jelly and don’t budge.
The roar from the train pounds in your head, and the smoke is so thick it makes you nauseous. You close your eyes just as the train hits you- BANG! You wake up to a two by four lodged into your abdomen.
You hear the walls of your living room being ripped apart but all you see is a black nothingness. You try to scream but your mouth fills with blood. It tastes like those pennies you used to suck on as a child. You feebly try to pull out the plank of wood from your gut but your arms get weaker by the second. As the world grows silent and your vision fades away, your last conscious thought is that maybe you should have turned on that TV so you could get to safety. But it’s too late for that now.
