You've been curious about magic for years, but even with Grymyr around, you have never actually cast a spell before. Looking into discrete magic, casting spells without books, words, or relics, as a first step is trying some of the most difficult forms first. Still, this would be great if it works, and there is little that can go wrong if it doesn't.
It takes some time to find, but you're able go find a couple of spells that might interest you. You only have time to learn one of them before you have to start getting ready for the celebration:
A basic Mind spell "Suggestion", making the subject more inclined to things your requests, but far from a command.
A basic Alteration spell "Alter body" to change someone in minor ways, mostly in their appearances.
A basic Transmutation spell "Change liquid", to either change one liquid to another, or change the taste of it without changing its composition.
