You get dressed for the day and walk slowly to the main ballroom, within a stones throw of the throne room. It's within these two spaces that you'll be spending the majority of your day today, as you officially become king. You're unprepared and admittedly very nervous. Your father had died so unexpectedly, and while your mother has been doing a good job in your stead until you came of age, you haven't been given much training in leadership, tactics, or how to be an effective ruler. The best you can do now is trust the advisors around you. Still, as King, there is some excitement to be had. The bullying and the snickering all stops now, and once you learn what being a King actually means, you're sure you can do some good for the kingdom and your people.
With a mixture of fear and excitement, you enter the ballroom to see what preparations are being made, to find that there aren't any being made at all! The servants can't seem to be found either. Walking back out of as fast as your injured body allows, you demand answers as to what's going on and why the soon to be King is the last to know about what's going on. As you storm about, you find a woman attending to some notes by herself. Petite and approximately your age, her blonde hair is cut almost boyishly short. Wearing simple attire, she is either a servant or a commoner from outside the castle.
"Excuse me!" You say angrily but politely to the mystery woman, who now has your undivided attention.
"Oh! My beloved Prince! so good to meet you! You're just the person I wanted to see"
