“Simple,” David explained, “the girls at Wesleyan were far hotter. Case in point,” and he pointed at her.
Tessa didn’t buy it for a second. “You didn’t go to college, did you?”
He took a deep breath. “Guilty as charged. I figured that since Derek found all the beautiful women, why go looking any further?”
“So what were you doing?”
“Marine Corps,” David admitted, “I did my two years and then decided I was tired hanging around with guys all day.”
“I thought they had women in the Corps?”
“Sure,” he smiled, “but they’re scary. They got bigger balls than me!”
This time she chuckled. David was pretty cute, but there was a lot he wasn’t telling.
