You opt to stay, even considering what Glass said. If the world outside is falling apart and the company is trying to estsblish themselves as a sort of government, it may be a good idea to get in on it right away and take advantage of membership... citizenship? Take advantage of being part of it rather than standing on your own.

Once those who have decided to leave, a lot of whom were those who you'd been working with for a while, have left, Glass went over the new perimeters and gave everyone their patrol routes.

Everyone was paired off with at least one other person. You were part of a group of 3 and your new partners were a man and a woman, Emilio and Chloe, both new recruits. Your new patrol is near the back end of the mall, which is listed as a defensive weak point but it's an area visitors don't really go so it's sure to be a quiet post.

As you leave the room to meet up with your new partners, Glass stops you.

"Roberts. A word." She says quietly.

You follow her to her office. "Have a seat." She says, indicating a chair in front of her desk, and you take a seat there. "Roberts, I have a proposition for you." She walks in front of you then sits on the edge of her desk. She crosses her legs. "As of now, you have seniority over most of the others. Most of your coworkers have left, and of those that are still here, you have the most spotless record. So, I think you would be wasted doing patrols with the new recruits."

"Okay, so what did you have in mind?"

"Well, I wanted to offer you a better job. If you accept, you'll be working in a position directly under me." She pauses. "You'll take orders from me directly, as my personal bodyguard and extra muscle, and you'll be able to give orders to the other guards here. You won't be alone, I'm going to see if any of the others who are still here will join us, but I wanted to approach you personally."

"So, what do you say? Are you in?"
