You look the blonde in the eyes and smile. "Hello," you say. "A hot day, isn't it?"
The woman stiffens; her face petrifies. She looks down. Wordless, she turns on her heels and leaves, taking her trolley with her. Oops - looks like the direct approach intimidated her. How disappointing considering you mustered the courage to talk to her. It would be really unsatisfying if you didn't get any thrill out of your effort.
