You are Lady Alys Gyfford and you are a Knight Errant, as eldest daughter of Duke Bardas Gyfford you were expected to be married off to a distant noble for alliances making use of your good looks and bountiful assets but your father thought differently. Serss is a harsh world and the kingdom is constantly under threat from the forces of the Netherworld, the brutish Orc hordes of the Northern Wastes, the manipulative Elves dwelling in the great forests to the south, machinations of rival kingdoms and internal dangers from foul magic users such as Necromancers, Warlocks and others of such ilk. One either prepared themselves for the dangers of the world or died quickly.
Your father knew this well, as such he raised you and your brothers on the sword and trained you all to be great warriors as well as leaders of men. For years you have trained hard to meet his expectations and just months ago you have reached your dream of becoming a knight. Since then you have traveled the land searching for a quest or a worthy lord. That was until recent events.
A letter has come from your father through trusted servants that your brothers have gone missing. He doesn't know why or how they disappeared but after inquiring the court mage he has learnt that they scattered to the four corners of the map. Your father would send soldiers to locate them but rising tensions between his vassals have forced him to keep them nearby. Now he requests that you either search for your brothers or return to your home to ensure your safety.
