"You, walk ahead of us," you order Lord Colton, putting your rapier under his throat. Then you turn to one of your men : "Jorge, try to support Edward. We're getting out of here."

"Captain," protests Jorge, "he's dying. We should take care of him immediately."

"We don't have that kind of time! Do as I say."

You get out of the small office and make your way to the jail's exit as quickly as possible. Your progress slows almost to a crawl when Edward passes out from loss of blood. Just as you are about to reach the exit, four armed guards arrive from outside, blocking your path. Their uniforms are slightly more elaborate and their muskets look brand-new... They look like some sort of elite unit.

"I'll kill the governor if you try anyth--" you begin. Before you finish your sentence, one of the guards shoots you in the right shoulder. Your arm goes numb and you drop the rapier. Your men cannot fire back, as you did not give them the time to reload their pistols before you left the office. With perfect discipline, the other three guards aim their muskets at your men and shoot in unison. Before you know it, you are the last pirate standing. Edward the Red succumbs to his wound just a moment later.

You are hanged on the public place the next morning.
