You know you can't wait that long for these books - not any book should be away from the eyes of reader. Unfortunately, your own knowledge of thievery is limited, though cable television makes it not necessarily completely inept. You don yourself in black clothes, wait until one hot night, and make your way to the library.

The thing was, the only hard part you could foresee was getting in. At night, there was a security crew, but it was tiny - you knew, because you overheard them talking about it during your visits, and you even saw how few there were - three people for the entirety of the night. Typically only two were there at a time, one doing rounds, the other probably watching cameras or something. More than that, there were not cameras everywhere - just where it would seem most important. The office (where the keys likely were to the rare book room), the entrance to the rare book room, and the checkout stations.

There were a couple choices you have in order to enter, and neither, theoretically, seemed too tough. You could smash your way in a small room's window, thus out of the way of any patrolling eyes (it probably would not be noticed till morning, if the last year's rock throwing incident was any hint), try and spot an open entrance (it is a hot day, so many likely had their windows open).
