Wedding party or not, Tessa thought she deserved to be there for her friend on her special day. So she walked around until she found the flurry of activity, which she correctly assumed was the bridal suite. As she got there, dressed up in her dark red sleeveless dress she got when she had to attend the sorority formal, Tessa found herself at the receiving end of a line of bridesmaids rushing out of the room. Tessa stepped in once the last one left, only to find her friend Ashley sitting there in her gorgeous white wedding dress, crying her eyes out, alone in the Bridal Suite.
“Ashley...”
“I said I wanted to be left alone! Why can't you...” she finally looked up and saw her. “Tessa?”
“What's wrong?”
“It's everything!” the bride sobbed. “I'm about to get married to the man of my dreams and... I... don't know if I want to!”
“It's just wedding nerves, Ashley...”
“No, it's not!” the bride protested. “I hardly know Derek anymore. He's changed. He's becoming another businessman like his father, I... I'm not sure I want to be his trophy wife!”
