Save the mouse for the snake

You remove the mouse from the trap. Its tail is a bit bent, but the mouse otherwise seems fine. It squeaks gratefully at you. You lick it's fur, then walking over to your snake cage. The mouse wriggles, but you drop it in. The snake kills and devours the mouse in one swift motion.
You wonder how long it's going to take Gwen Gwen to get to your apartment.
