There's no more purpose in life. You've lost Melanie, and you loved her with all your heart. This isn't how you wanted it to end, and you feel so ashamed of yourself. You should have saved her. You should have done something. Anything. No, you let her get raped and tortured, while you hid like a coward.

You sit in the car and weep. You apologize to her corpse as if it will do something for either of you. When you finally see the shadowy figures begin to swarm around your car and hear them growling, you just don't care anymore. You welcome the end to the anguish.

You step out of the car and deliver yourself to them. They take their time. They torture you, savage you, ravage you -both men and women- before finally cutting you to shreds and abandoning your corpse to go looking for more violence.

It's a bitter end, but no more than you deserve.
