You scream over the wind and the rain. "If the car is locked, we'll have to bust out a window, and drive around like that. Even if we do get in, what if you can't hotwire it?"
"Then what do we do?" She yells back, holding up a hand to shield her face from the driving wind and rain.
You glance around, and up the road you can faintly see a car sitting at a stop light, lights on, driver door open. Off to your left and right, there are tons of other buildings, all with the power out and most likely too dangerous to attempt, but there's also an entrance to the subway. It would be just as dark, probably, but at least you'd be out of the wind and the rain.
You yell back to Claire the options you've scouted, and she gives you a nod, waiting for you to lead the way.
