The market square is full of vendors hawking their wares. There would surely be even more vendors if this were market day, but there's still a fair number of stalls lining the square. Some of the foodstuffs on sale look rather dubious... but then, you have little coin and don't look very reputable, either. Eating something, even something less than palatable, might make you feel better.
