You let out a sigh before you do anything drastic. You decide you want to look in on your daughters. They just seem to be growing up so fast. Leah's, what? 8? 9 years old now? She will be finishing off fourth grade this year. She used to be such an energetic young girl, but lately she seems to be getting more withdrawn. She hardly ever tries to talk to either of you any more, but she does seem to look up to her older sister. You just wish you knew what was going on in her life. And Brittany, oh, she is doing great. She is on the cheer leading team, and is even dating the foot ball team's runnerback, Jack Gunderson. She is basically living every teen girl's dream, and is practically queen of her school. Why can't Leah be more like her?
You have had a chance to talk with Jack on occasion when he comes over to eat dinner with your family, he really seems like a nice young man and always good to talk about the cooking. Brittany chose good with that young man, he has a bright future ahead of him.
You hesitate for a moment in the hall right outside of their rooms. You really don't want to wake them, gotta be quiet.
