The sounds of drunken laughter and thumping music greeted Alice on her arrival. From what she could see of the crowd gathered around the entrance to the party, this seemed to definitely be THE event tonight. Alice smiled, excited by the prospect of pledging and forging the friendships that would shape the rest of her college life.
On the way in she couldn't help but eye off a group of what appeared to be freshman guys lounging about on the porch. One turned and interrupted her ogling; one of the taller ones with brown hair and striking blue eyes. She knew she would have looked exactly like a deer caught in headlights, but the guy smiled and easy smile and started to chuckle as he continued staring directly into her eyes. Alice allowed herself one flirtatious smile before she crossed the threshold into the party. This pledging business could turn out to be a lot of fun if she played her cards right...
