You figure your lean frame and long legs are best suited for the water, so you head for the swim team. Plus, Swim is co-ed. While the events are segregated, practice is not. While you wouldn't tell anyone, getting to see boys in those tiny trunks is certainly a plus.
The pool is indoors, which is nice for temperature control, not so nice in the permanent smell of chlorine and other chemicals. There's a bunch of folks around for try-out's, some vets and some fresh like you. You have some time to kill, so you decide to start conversation with
