Open the green trapdoor and jump

You open the green trapdoor. You see darkness. You don't see a bottom. But the pounding at the door is getting louder, so you jump. You drop into a chute and go sliding down. Several frightening minutes later, you tumble to a landing. You shake your head, then stop and hold your nose. This place reeks.
After a couple minutes, your eyes adjust and you realize where you are. You're on a ledge inside a sewer tunnel. At least there's enough light for you to see the ledge you're on. You don't want to look too closely at most of the things floating past in the sewage. Or do you? You notice a large crate bobbing past.
