You sight someone coming next to you. Is it a human? Is it a robot? No! It's your humaniform robot partner, R. Daneel Olivaw! You dash towards him in joy and ask him about the details of the homicide. He responds by telling you that a roboticist was murdered.
"Who is he?" you ask.
"His name was Fastolfe."
"Fastolfe? FASTOLFE? You mean the same one who created you? The same one who came to Spacetown? The same one living on Aurora? THE SAME DR. HAN FASTOLFE?"
"No partner Elijah. This is Dr. Memphis Fastolfe, son of Prof. Memphis Wheeler. Wheeler was a great friend of our Fastolfe, thus he named his son after him."
"Oh, and what was he doing on uh... Cosmost?"
"Kosmos, partner Elijah. He was doing expiriments on the second humaniform robot, R. Jander Panell^, and the grounds of Kosmos is a wonderful place to do this. Actually, it is not, but Dr. Han Fastolfe, who did not want Memphis to learn about the humaniform robot, directed him there."
"Thus our Fastolfe had a motive to do that."
"And means and oppurtunity to do that, partner Elijh. A Auroran can freely access other worlds. Also, Memphis was killed by a blunt weapon. Oh, and we have reached Kosmos."
"I don't belive that Fasto-"
"He says he did not do it. I am sure of that, and I presume you do too."
Daneel was correct. Fastolfe would never lie, or atleast in these matters anyway. And of course, you have reached the planet. Do you want to walk in the gardens while discussing the matteer of the homicide or do you rush to the hotel?"
^Jander Panell was the victim of The Robots of Dawn. This happened before his shutdown.
