The faceted stone shines red in the light. The ring itself has the appearance of entwined golden vines. You place it on your thumb, feeling it's metalic coldness, thinking that it was once worn by your father.

He is long departed, but when you feel this ring, you can almost feel a connection to him. Shaking your head at the silliness of such sentimentality, you lovingly return the ring to its resting place. You only wear it for performance before dignitaries; it is far to precious to wear carelessly.
