You open your laptop in a hurry half expecting to find something, and as you open it, confusion flashes across your face. The computer's desktop has changed to a picture of you and Elizabeth kissing, the setting sun in the background. You never remember taking this picture. Was someone playing a cruel prank? Your eyes remained closed as you locked lips with your lover in the photo, but Elizabeth's piercing gaze fixed itself on the camera as if she was staring through the computer screen at your very soul. You stare at the picture for a few seconds, trying to make sense of what was happening.
Your attention is swiftly diverted by the laptop's clock. You have trouble comprehending a whole day has gone by since you mustered the courage to talk to Elizabeth. "But that means!" you say aloud remembering the big test you needed to take today. If you left now, then you might still be able to make it on time. You'd figure out what was going on later.
