You decide to look for Steves hunting rifle since you may need a long distance weapon before this night is over. You begin with looking near the body but apparently he didn´t have it with him when he died. After about five minutes you are begining to lose hope of finding it when you suddenly sees something shining in a bush when you make a sweep with your flashlight ¨Gotcha¨ you say to youreself and goes towards the bush. And there it is, an 22. caliber hunting rifle with a lot of blood stains on it. You pick up the rifle (even if the blood on it makes you feel a little sick) and examine it closer. You check the rifles magazine and sees that there is only 2 bullets in it which means that he managed to fire at least 3 bullets against whatever attacked him.
