Suddenly, a circle of light surrounds you from above and a voice booms out across the landscape. “Winners never cheat and cheaters never win.” The intensity of the light increases until your body is consumed and falls as a pile of dust and ash to the ground.
The Choose Your Own Adventure system on this site doesn’t have any way of recording state, so I have to ask you at certain times about what you did in the past. It’s not that hard to cheat the system, even with these ‘safeguards’ in place, so the fact that you fell into one means that not only did you cheat, but you cheated really badly.
Try harder next time. And play by the rules – or at least the game’s rules.
