The dance is interrupted by your uncle announcing that he has gained favour of the king and has been invited to the palace with you.
Your uncle intends for you to marry the king.
Your aunt believes this marriage won't last and you are better off with a suitor she is trying to set you up with. The suitor is a merchant, who has risen as high as he can on wealth alone and now needs to ally with a noble family to go any further.
