A little while later, Kties mom comes into the room and sees Katies uncomfortable look. She takes out the thermometer and sighs.
"Katie! Your temp is not as bad as I thought! Still, it would be bad to make the other students at school sick. You stay home today okay?"
Katie nodded, all those ice cubes had began to melt, making it look like she had peed her sheets.
Before Katie could say something, her mother started talking again.
"Ill send Emily to take care off you today. She can afford to stay home from school to look after you."
