You figure the water is bound to eventually stop, and as it stands right now, you can do with a little cooling off. You move up and down the rows of plants, looking underneath the larger flowering bushes as you go. You occasionally see a flutter here or there, but sometimes you are unsure if it is just the water playing tricks with the light.

Suddenly, you see the monarch underneath a gateway of roses. You move to it quickly, and it rounds the corner into a grassy area over a small fence indicating outside the garden. With a deft leap, you make it over the fence, though the back of your sundress does not. The back end of the wooden fence has caught the hem of the dress, pulling it up to reveal your slip, though it is not anything serious. You try and move forward, but hear a rip.

Of course, the dress was wet! It was heavy and pushing down on things - it would not get away from a wooden fence. You curse to yourself at the bad decisions, and actually look at your state for a moment.

Both your slip and dress are incredibly wet, clinging to you. With the two layers, nothing is visible that should not be, but the beige sundress is rather transparent, giving easy light to the white slip underneath. It is hardly anything now, but you look at the back of the sundress, noting that it had lost nearly half of its length. You grab the scrap of fabric, a little embarrassed to just leave it alone, and look back to where the monarch once was, realizing you have lost it.

You are in a tall grassy area now, and the butterfly would not stay too long here unless there were flowers about. You hear a stream at the edge of the forested area, still with all the grass, where likely the flowers would be. You could look for them, or surmise it circled back across the fence into the garden again.
