You decide to head back to the US. Tina decides to stay in Europe and you part ways. You move back into your old place and remember you have to pay back those student loans. You check how much you owe and with interest now you owe $300,000. You take a game design job at a fairly well-known company but the pay is less than satisfactory. Almost all of your paychecks go to paying off your loans. The debt keeps growing and after a year you still owe $300,000 because you can only pay off the interest at this point. You get a promotion and earn a decent wage but have no money for fun or anything of the sort. After two years, you now owe $200,000. You thought things would get easier with this new degree. You thought you would be happy doing something you love, but it has just become another job. You go through the motions of life, paying off the loans slowly. There is no time for dating or vacations because you need every dollar. You start working 70 hour weeks and your debt is down to $50,000 after seven years. You keep hoping things will change when the debt is gone, but this is becoming your life. Work is your life , you don't have anything to fall back on. No wife, no kids, no family. After ten years, you finally pay off the entire loan and become a free man.

You send the check in the mail and while driving home from the post office, a drunk driver runs a red light and slams into your car. You die on impact.
