The janitor was just around the corner so you continue to the AV Room where you were headed. When you get there, the door is locked even though you left it open before the show. You didn't bring your keys and there isn't enough time to go get them.
You remember that the equipment room is connected directly to the girl's dressing room and that door is never locked. You walk down the hall to the dressing room.
