You are Maria, the Reluctant Maid.
Your goal is keep your job at the Blake residence as long as possible. You will find that you will have to make compromises with your moral codex and integrity in order to do this...

The "Weeks" figure is this game's "score". The more weeks you can stay without getting fired, the higher your score.

Example scores:

  • 5 weeks = you can pay back the airfare that brought you here
  • 10 weeks = you can expect to buy presents for your family back home
  • 20 weeks = you earn a small vacation (stateside)
  • 30 weeks = you can finally fly home to visit your proud family
  • 50 weeks (1 year) = you've earned enough for your family to build a real house

etc.

The "Reprimands" figure represents warnings you get for not being obedient or cooperative enough. They're mostly used for minor infractions. You should know that if you ever get 3 reprimands, you will be fired and the game will be over. Do note that if you displease Mr Blake or his associates you can get fired at any time, even without any reprimands.
