You decide for your first official battle, not including with Lee, you want to start with FireStorm. He takes out a Pokéball too.
"1, 2, 3, go!"
You see the two Pokémon forming. Your light is blue, while his Pokémon's forming light is Red!
It's a Spearow, a bird Pokemon!
Spearow starts off with a Peck. Storm takes the hit, but Tackles under your command as Spearow tries to fly away, pinning it to the ground! Spearow Leers at Storm, even though it isn't really in a position to sneer. You command Storm to Leer back worse!
You know that a well trained Cyndaquil's back lights on fire in battle, but you'll have to work on that..... Now your just stuck. Your holding Spearow down, but how can you Tackle it?
"Ha ha!" Even when I'm in the worse position, I, Benjamin prevail!"
"Actually, you don't have to use an official attack," you realize. "Storm, bite it!" Storm has little baby fangs, and bites down on Spearows neck, harder and harder. "Ok, I surrender!" Benjamin admits, returning Spearow by pointing his poke ball at it, and holding down the white button. He can't switch out while the opponent is in the upper hand position. It's against the rules. SO he has to surrender before Spearow gets very hurt.

No! A water Pokemon. Bad news for a fire type like Storm. Even worse, a fire/ground Poekmon! Storm is double weak!
You can't switch out if your opponent has you in a bad position, so you should switch Firestorm out NOW and save him for later. But then again, maybe you should just take you chances and use Scar for backup?
