- | Smiling, you look at your calendar. April 28th. Today you do what you've been planning to do for quite some time now. Today, you are going to relieve the world of yourself. It's not like anyone cares, after all. From birth you've been abused by both your father and mother, neither of whom wanted you, and you've been the "outcast" girl at school since middle school started. You've only had one true friend your entire life. Vanessa Brown. She befriended you halfway through 6th grade, sitting next to you on the bus, at lunch, in class - everywhere. She stood up for you when people called you a "freak", when people threw things at you for simply coming to class. You and Vanessa were even born on the same day. You adore her. You can't go far enough to say you love her because you feel that you were never meant to feel love, to ever know true happiness. You were put here for others to take everything out on. It's a job you've kept for 16 long years now. | + | Smiling, you look at your calendar. April 28th. Today, you do what you've been planning to do for quite some time now. Smiling, you look at your calendar. April 28th. Today, you do what you've been planning to do for quite some time now.
But today, that was going to change. You were sure from the moment that you woke up that it was all gonna stop today. You already had your noose set up and everything. You could have done it now, but there was one loose end. Vanessa. You never wanted to cause her pain or sadness when you were alive, and you don't want to do it while you're dead, either. Sure, you could argue that what you had planned was a bit much, killing her to save her the pain of going on without you. Some could say you were closed-minded, that Vanessa could cope and move on. You don't care what they had to say. They never listened to you, so you won't listen to them. Especially not now. Es-
Your computer makes a noise. Vanessa is messaging you. She's asking if you're ready to come over and work on the U.S. History project. She doesn't even know what you have planned for today. Of course you're ready. You've been ready for this day all week. You wonder if she's ready, though. You message her back and tell her you'll be right over.
