The goblin in robes looks to be considerably more dangerous than the one in the coat. You should take them out first.
Hovisk backs you up as you charge the goblin mage. They pull out something like a flute, but when they blow into it, a yellow gas sprays out in a line. You dodge the smoke but Hovisk, who is directly behind you, doesn't see the danger quickly enough. He collapses, immobilized but not dead.
As the goblin hastily fiddles with the device, which seems to be leaking, you're presented with an opening.
