"Who wants to buy me a drink?"
There's a stunned silence from the group of twelve, mostly male, students. There's a timid voice from the back, "Is this a test?"
"No. None of us want to be here, let's find a bar and enjoy ourselves for once," you say, "The only catch is that anyone who wants to join me has to buy me a drink."
"I'll buy you a drink," shouts Mark. He's a confident guy, sporty and intelligent; the kind of person man is secretly jealous of and every woman secretly wants to sleep with.
"Just us then, Mark," you chuckle. Let's be honest, you'd settle for that.
A discordant chorus of male and female voices follow Mark's lead. You could get quite drunk this afternoon.
