Warning the Princess

Captain Valerio gives you a note by his own hand to grant you an urgent meeting with the Princess. You immediately head towards her palace to the west of the city, and within twenty minutes you are brought in front of her in a private room. After you quickly explain the situation to her, you are surprised to see a wicked smile spread across her face.
"You were right to tell me about it before trying anything stupid," she says. "I'll take care of this matter." She calls three of her henchmen. "Go tell my partisans to get drunk and arrange a few street brawls aimed at von Carstein's supporters," she instructs them. "Of course, they'll have access to the city's huge reserves of tar and feathers. Just make sure it doesn't turn into a bloodbath."
Then, as her men leave to carry out their orders, the Princess flashes a rather scary grin at you.
"See how it's done? My supporters will spread chaos and prevent von Carstein's men from acting cohesively, but it will all look too random and disorganized to be a direct threat. Of course, tomorrow I'll have to deny any involvement in the rioters' scandalous behavior, but by then I presume von Carstein will no longer be a threat to the city."
