You notice that the watch is stuck at 12:00:00 (which is exactly noon). You check it out some more; you realize that there is no battery compartment. Thinking that it must be an automatic watch, you shake it; but the hands remain stuck where they are.
"Strange," you mutter to yourself. The creepy feeling magnifies. If you feel that the watch is nothing but bad news, then the time to get rid of it is now.
On the other hand, its mechanism may just be a little different from what you know but may turn out to be somewhat useful.
