You greet "Good Morning!" to your wife, "I'm quite happy today for some reason!"
"Shhh, Abraham!" your wife hurredly silences, "You know saying things like that is bad luck."
"Oh, well... I was just remarking, you know..."
"Now you just stop that. I'm glad you're feeling less dreary than usual, but saying it plain outright like that is mighty bad luck. You're just asking for trouble."
As you're about to respond, she continues "Remember, we have plans tonight at the theatre, Our American Cousin is being performed. Should be a hoot! The General and his wife sadly won't be able to make it, but Major Rathbone and his fiancée Clara Harris accepted our invitation. Should be a lovely evening!"
Ah yes, it had slipped your mind. That really will be an excellent time. You wish your wife farewell for now and consider how to continue this wonderful day you've been having.
