"Can you take off your mask for me? I want to see your face... " you say.
The room falls into silence for a few minutes, with him just staring at you. You're about to speak up again when he slowly reaches up to the back of his head and grips either side of the mask. He partially pulls the mask up then hesitates - for several seconds - before pulling off the rest of it and letting it drop to the floor.
He isn't the most handsome man you've ever seen but he isn't too bad, either. He has a bit of stubble, a rather elongated chin, and cropped black hair. There are three marks on the left side of his face, on his cheek, which appear to be scratch marks caused by fingernails. The wound looks like it's healing, so it must have been done within the last week.
"Better?" he asks, pulling you from your thoughts.
"Yes. Thank you." Now to get back to what you were doing. It isn't likely that he will be taking no for an answer now.
